Hello Highlander Families!

   We hope that you have had a great summer!  Your BMHS staff has been working hard, preparing for our Highlanders to return next week. Please read over the following information to help us make the transition back to school as smooth as possible.

FIRST DAY FOR ALL STUDENTS (grades 9-12) is Tuesday Sept 8th – Students will start the day in their homeroom classes at (Lists will be posted by the main entrances and in the foyer). Please allow for extra time if you are dropping students off as the driveway in and drop off loop will be busy!

SCHOOL BELL SCHEDULE & CALENDER:

STUDENT DROP OFF –  Reminder that the student drop off loop is on the side of the school, the old main entrance (by flag poles) is for busses only.  The staff and visitor parking is also off limits for drop offs / pick ups as this causes safety issues.

NEW PROVINCIAL LUNCH PROGRAM – the new provincial lunch program is ready to roll and the BMHS ordering site is now open! All students can pre order meals at a subsidized rate of $5 per meal. Please check out the documents below for more information. Families must create an account and pre-order using the online platform.

STUDENT COURSE SCHEDULES – can now been viewed on Power School.

COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS – will be completed through homeroom teachers. Students will collect a slip from their homeroom teachers and must be submitted to the main office by end day (3:30pm), Friday Sept 11th.

EXTRACURRICULAR UPDATE

Cross Country – Practices will be every Tues / Wed / Thurs (4:00pm – 6:00pm). Please contact [email protected]. There will be a parent meeting Sept 10th at 5:00pm

Girls Field Hockey – Tryouts will be starting right away! Sept 8th, Sept 9th, Sept 10th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm.
